How does it work?

Why does my age change from one planet to another?

The concept of time, and the way it passes, is unique and specific to each planet. This specificity is linked to the period of rotation of a planet on itself, and to its period of revolution around the sun. The periods of revolution and rotation are specific to each planet.

What is a day on a planet?

A day on a planet corresponds to its period of rotation on itself. Each planet in the system has its own unique length for a day. The duration of the Earth’s rotation is 23h56.
The difference with the solar day (24 hours) results from the daily movement of the Earth in its orbit around the Sun.

What is a year on a planet?

A year on a planet corresponds to a complete period of revolution of that planet around the sun.
On Earth, the period of revolution is 365.25 days.

What is a birthday?

An anniversary on Earth marks one complete revolution of our planet around the Sun from a given date. A birthday always occurs on the same date … if we take into account the calendar of that planet.
On each planet, the frequency of birthdays corresponds exactly to the period of revolution of that planet.
On Earth, this frequency is 365.25 days.

How are my birthdays calculated for each planet?

In theory, your date of birth cannot be contested, it is fixed 😉
This is why your birthday always falls on the same day on Earth.
On the other hand, your ‘extra-terrestrial’ birthday dates vary according to the planet in the reference solar system … if we consider an Earth calendar. This is because the length of a year is specific to each planet in the solar system, and is never synchronised with an Earth year.
Take advantage of this to celebrate your birthdays several times a (terrestrial) year!
On Earth, your birthday is always on the same date – unless you’re lucky enough to be born on 29 February! 😊

How old am I?

Of course, your age varies according to the reference planet you choose and its period of revolution.
A little younger or a little older? Much younger or much older?
Choose the age that suits you best, depending on your mood. After all, it’s all relative 😉

How many days since I was born?

On each planet, time has its own unique rhythm. The length of a day varies from planet to planet. You can also track your age in terrestrial or ‘extra-terrestrial’ days. There are a few surprises in store. And you can celebrate them too!

Why this application?

This application is aimed at those who are looking for new and valid reasons to celebrate earthly life more,
It is aimed at those who want to change (a little) our earthly perspective, in a playful way,
It is aimed at those who like to listen to the changing rhythm of time as it passes,
It is aimed at those who look to the sky, and perceive its poetry,
It is aimed at those who know how to stay young,
‘You have to be a seer, make yourself a seer’.
« Il faut être voyant, se faire voyant»

Let’s celebrate our extraterrestrial ages !
